St John’s Music Group

St John’s Music Group meets every Tuesday at Church at 7pm for about an hour. We are small in number but enjoy music and singing, and when we meet we generally look at the hymns that we will be singing the following Sunday and practice for anything special that may be coming up. We try to perform something special during a Sunday Church service at least once a month and also perform at the main festivals. Most of what we perform now is in three or four parts and we are often invited to sing at weddings and other special occasions. We annually perform at our Proms in the Paddock and at the Christmas Cracker Concert in December with the Clifton & Lightcliffe Band. The type of music we sing is very varied, fun and enjoyable and sometimes quite taxing.

If you enjoy music and like to sing or think you might like to sing, come along and join us at anytime. There is no audition – and you don’t have to be able to read music or have ever sung before. And we won’t ask you to do anything by yourself!! For more information, contact Gail Crisp
